Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Place of Performance: Washington, DC

Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), as-needed / on-call.

Specific Tasks:

• Provide coverage during scheduled Nurse Manager’s leave and/or to allow for the Nurse Manager to attend meetings or provide health/wellness presentations.
• Provide coverage on special events including July 4th and high level Secretarial Events.
• Provides acute care during medical emergencies, delivering critical interventions to prevent loss of life or limb and alleviate suffering until safe transport to a medical facility can be arranged.
• Provide support to the Wellness Center programs.
• Maintain and protect confidential employee health records per Departmental guidelines.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN)

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program in the United States or Canada.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.
• Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, with ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to meet federal facility suitability, credentialing, and security requirements.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Active, unrestricted LPN license in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to meet federal facility suitability, credentialing, and security requirements.
