Registered Nurse – Medical Evaluation Board Liaison
Place of Performance: Japan
Specific Tasks:
- Plans and completes necessary MEB process activities from the time of notification of the need to evaluate an active-duty member’s fitness for duty until a disposition is made by the Secretary of the Service.
- Track treatment of patients with pending MEBs to ascertain all clinical information is available to the primary care manager. These clinical documents will be reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
- Works closely with the Beneficiary Service Representative (i.e. Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer – PEBLO) and the Medical Evaluation Board Clerk to facilitate expeditious processing of active MEBs.
- Schedules follow-up appointments, ancillary services, and meetings as necessary.
- Actively coordinates treatment plans with private and federal sector health care providers; interfacing with the patient, commander and MTF staff.
- Attends Deployment Availability Working Group (DAWG), local MEB meetings and other meetings necessary to job function.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing.
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
- Experience: Current experience required is three years within the last four years as a registered nurse.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse.
