General Description:

Front Desk Clerk shall be responsible for performing various clerical and administrative duties, including entering all required information and data into the RAF Mildenhall AFB Airman & Family Readiness Center’s (A&RFC) data information systems and provide computer/administrative support with various software programs that fall within A&FRC programs.  You shall input all data as required and maintain currency within the Air Force Family Integrated Result Statistical Tracking (AFFIRST) database system, and other web applications as specified by Air Force or other authorities.  You shall perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned.

 

Specific Tasks:

  • Receive telephone calls, greet visitors, ascertain the nature of the call or visit, direct customers to the appropriate program manager in the A&FRC, schedule customers for A&FRC classes, and provide complete and clear information that addresses most routine or procedural issues.
  • Input data and resources in AFFIRST and other government systems to include but not limited to scheduling customers for Pre-Separation, Transition Assistance Program Goals, Plans and Success (TAP GPS), Executive Transition Assistance Program (ETAP), Veterans Administration Benefits Briefings I and II, the Education Track, the Technical and Skills Track, the Entrepreneur (Boots to Business) Track, and the Capstone Event. This information shall be maintained at 90% accuracy at all times.
  • Enter/update personnel forms to include the e-Form, Service Member Pre-Separation/Transitioning Counseling and Career Readiness Standards for Service Members Separating, Retiring, or Released from Active Duty.
  • You shall be responsible for reference library check-out procedures and shall ensure items are tracked and returned. You shall account for library integrity and ensure safeguards are in place to prevent the loss of materials.
  • Maintain the appearance of the Discovery Resource Center. You will align chairs, keyboards, materials, publications, and resources on a daily basis. You shall report inoperable equipment to A&FRC management.
  • Input and maintain accuracy of data and resources in the AFFIRST system. You shall input and keep current information on service organizations, and make appropriate referrals to both on and off-base agencies.
  • Provide the Chief of A&FRC and the COR a monthly data entry report in the format established by A&FRC management not later than the fifth working day of the month.

 

 

Education:

  • Shall have as a minimum of a high school diploma.

 

Experience:

  • Shall have a minimum of at least 2 years of related experience in a data entry environment.

 

Knowledge:

  • Require a working knowledge and capability to operate data entry devices to input lists, records, or other data points into an electronic format.
  • Strong working knowledge of Web Based applications, MS Office Word, MS Office Excel, and other MS Office Suite Products.
