Dietitian Technician
Place of Performance: Japan
Specific Tasks:
- Collect nutritionally relevant data, e.g., medication, clinical symptoms, laboratory values, dietary history, anthropometrics, etc., from the medical record consistent with screening and assessment guidelines for all age specific groups from infants to geriatrics. Complete nutritional assessments of the nutritional status/needs of not- at-risk patients. Document care provided in Electronic Health Record (EHR) in accordance with MTF local standards and requirements.
- Calculate nutrient and energy intake values and assisting in evaluating data from patient’s dietary history.
- Maintain all required records, reports, and statistics in accordance with MTF policy. Assist in implementing and evaluating Nutrition Management Department functions.
- Assist in the care and maintenance of equipment and supplies used in the performance of duties. Document maintenance on equipment. Requisition supplies and educational materials as required.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Associate degree.
- Education: Graduate from a U.S. accredited college or university and successful completion, of a minimum of 450 supervised clinical practice hours, through a dietetic technician program as accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
- Registration: Possess and maintain a current registration as a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition of Dietetics.
- Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as a Dietetic Technician.
