Specific Tasks:

• Provide full spectrum of occupational rehabilitative services under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.
• Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.
• Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions.
• Identify, recommend, and fabricate, as needed, complex adaptive and assistive devices, durable medical equipment and complex dynamic splinting, after consultation with the occupational therapist.

Qualifications:

• Degree: Associates Degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited at the time of graduation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Certification: Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Experience: One year of experience within the last two years as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• License: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant.
