General Description:
Improvement Coordinator shall work with Recruiting Regional Command Posts, recruiting teams, and ASVAB Improvement lead to identify individualized plans for new applicants who are struggling with passing the ASVAB or looking to improve scores for opportunities to qualify for enlistments.
Specific Tasks:
- Shall be provided Tested Not Enlisted (TNE) reports weekly from Regional Command Posts. You shall work with Recruiting and Retention Noncommissioned Officers (RRNCOs) to contact and identify applicants willing to be participate in ASVAB improvement program.
- Meet with applicants who need improved ASVAB scores either in person or via virtual means.
- Schedule at least one weekly online study session that applicants can attend virtually that focuses on teaching concepts helpful to improving ASVAB scores.
- Periodically test applicants using existing assessment tools to determine applicant’s progress towards being able to pass ASVAB.
- Update Government ASVAB Improvement Program Lead at least weekly on the by name progress of potential applicant’s progress toward passing the ASVAB.
- Utilize open-source products, existing products currently used by the ASVAB Improvement Program Lead, and self-generated materials to create an accessible repository of self-study material for potential applicants to use for ASVAB improvement.
- Report daily activity to Government ASVAB Improvement Lead.
- Participate and assist in teaching one to three – 5-day duration, in person, ASVAB improvement training courses each quarter when required. Courses may require overnight travel.
- Shall provide services typically between the hours of 0900-1730 on Monday through Friday. Flexibility with working schedule is mandatory. Work hours and workdays may vary. Weekends may be required to work, with expected evening hours, as needed, to adequately execute expected and assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Shall have been granted a SECRET security clearance from the Defense Industry Security Clearance Office.
- Shall possess a minimum five (5) years of teaching experience either as a civilian or in a military capacity. Preferential hiring towards those individuals possessing a valid teaching license and/or who have prior military service as a Non-Commissioned Officer or Officer.
- Shall be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Shall possess excellent organizational skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Shall live in the recruiting region to which assigned.
- Shall possess expert knowledge of analytical and evaluation techniques, and skills and abilities to identify problems, recommend solutions, and conduct complex studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s programs to improve and optimize productivity and efficient utilization or resources.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, analytical/logical thinking and ability to problem solve.
